Senior Staff - Judy Vickers

Career Summary

Judith attended both Stockport and Salford Technology Colleges in the early 1970's. She obtained secretarial qualifications and worked for a number of years in the administration side of the Home Office Prison Service.

Judith then worked as a legal secretary in Glickman and Company. Between 1978 and 1979 she worked as a personal secretary for a senior director at Manchester City Council.

She then moved to Cecil Franks & Co Solicitors in Manchester initially as a secretary but specialising in Conveyancing and property work. As her experience grew she moved across to fee earning and developed her skills as a conveyancer.

In 1987 she moved to Vickers Jones Wood & Co to work with her husband, Bob Vickers as a Conveyancing executive, a role she has continued with to the present day.

In October 2005 Vickers Jones Wood & Co was acquired by Webster O'Brien LLP and Judy remains with the practice as a Conveyancing manager.
