What is ADR? It means Alternative Dispute Resolution. In other words settlement of disputes without the necessity of court proceedings.
Even with the best case in the world litigation is an expensive gamble. There can never be a guarantee of a successful outcome. It is better to avoid litigation in the first place and to try and find a way of resolving disputes between opposing parties in a quick cost effective and efficient way. The benefits of mediation in particular are that the mediation can be done at any stage in a dispute. It is quick, less formal and less expensive than litigation through the Court system. It is also entirely confidential.
We are committed to the principle of ADR and in particular mediation between the parties. Our lawyers are experienced in mediation and our managing partner, John Webster, is a CEDR trained mediator.
